Phillip Prange

President and CEO

Phillip Prange comes to the Wisconsin Business Council with a quarter century of distinguished service in both the public and the private sectors.

Since 1998, Prange has been president of Gateway Ventures, Inc. a business development and public affairs consulting firm whose clients have included Fortune 100 companies and national trade associations. He established Wisconsin's premier political news service, WisPolitics Publishing, Inc., the most widely circulated political news publication in Wisconsin and has served as its publisher for the past 10 years.

Prange’s service in the public sector included serving as a legislative assistant to former Secretary of the Department of Administration, James R. Klauser and appointment by Gov. Thompson as federal liaison for the Governor’s Office.

Prange also has extensive experience in campaign management and fundraising, including decades of campaign finance, management, grassroots and coalition activities for presidential, senate, congressional, state and local campaigns. He served as finance director for Gov. Thompson’s campaign organizations from 1992 to 2000.

He serves on the boards of the charitable Hamilton Roddis Foundation of Marshfield, the Camp 5 Museum Foundation and the Development Committee for Gilda’s Club Madison. He is also an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society-Wisconsin.

Prange’s broad experience, providing as it does knowledge of and extensive relationships with leaders at all levels of state and federal government and within the Wisconsin business community, is a perfect fit for the Wisconsin Business Council.

Prange and his wife, Alison, have one daughter and live in Madison.

Brian R. Taffora
Vice President of Government Relations and Operations

A Kenosha native and lifelong Wisconsin resident, Brian Taffora brings nearly a decade of business experience to his role as vice president of government relations and operations of the Wisconsin Business Council. He is responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations, business development and lobbying efforts.

Taffora holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications from UW Whitewater. Prior to joining the Wisconsin Business Council, he worked as an investment adviser, specializing in strategies to help business owners and key executives protect the financial interests of their companies and employees.

His previous experience includes a business development role with Tolan Schueller and Associates, part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, and completion of the leadership and securities training program at Strong Capital Management.

Taffora lives in Cedarburg with his wife and two children and serves on the Cedarburg Economic Development Board.

Heidi Reynolds

Director of Membership

Heidi Reynolds brings her extensive education and experience in organizational communications, fundraising and growth to the Wisconsin Business Council, leading its membership development and retention programs.

Prior to joining the Wisconsin Business Council, Reynolds served as district manager and sales manager in the membership department of Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. She was also responsible for the creation and implementation of the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s phone bank operations.

Reynolds has a bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism, and a master of science degree and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) in organizational and business administration from UW Whitewater. She has been an adjunct instructor in speech and communications at UW Whitewater, Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville and Madison Area Technical College (MATC).

Reynolds lives in Madison with her husband and two daughters.
